Continuing my previous explorations in iconography, my studio work in 2012 focused mainly on personal identity and the search for a symbolic representation of it. Working with concepts of memory and dreams, the art pieces link thematically while creating a surreal narrative within which exists multiple possibilities of the same thought.
Also, in the process of branding myself I have been developing more text-based work which plays with various aspects of semiotics. The hope is to pull apart certain ideas on reality that I have been told to accept as fact. These works aim to shift perceptions on these ideas as a way to question their validity and the belief in truth as fact.
